Govt grant helps Argus TrueID develop biometric platform

 

Ken Farrow, Executive Chairman of Argus TrueID recently hosted the Australian Federal Minister for Jobs and Innovation to demonstrate how biometrics solutions developed at its Sydney headquarters can assist a range of industries to improve their operations.

Argus has been the recipient of an AusIndustry grant to support Australian organizations drive innovation and access new markets.

“The AusIndustry grant enabled our business to develop our core technology, the Argus TrueID platform, so that we could drive further innovation,” explained Farrow. “We’re now in a position where we can take our biometric technology into any industry, providing unique solutions to a variety of identity-related challenges.”

Biometric technologies are being deployed to improve efficiency in several different industries within Australia and the Department of Home Affairs recently expressed confidence in the quality of its facial recognition algorithms.
