Synaptics reporting Q4, fiscal 2018 results August 9

Synaptics will report financial results for its fourth quarter and fiscal 2018 on Thursday, August 9, 2018 after the close of market.

The company will host a corresponding conference call for analysts and investors at 2:00 p.m. PT. Last month The Mercury News reported that the San Jose-based sensor maker was in talks to sell itself to U.K.-based Dialog Semiconductor but according to a stock analyst negative on the deal, Dialog would have to stretch its resources to land Synaptics.

Earlier this month Synaptics and AMD announced a joint initiative to deliver highly secure fingerprint authentication for enterprise, commercial and consumer notebook PCs based on AMD’s Ryzen Mobile platform and Microsoft’s forthcoming next-generation biometric security operating system, which includes Windows Hello.
