Recogtech announced it will introduce its Palm-ID Card solution this coming week at Security Essen.

Palm-ID is based on Fujitsu’s PalmSecure technology for vein pattern recognition and the Palm-ID Card solution was developed in cooperation with Deister Electronic, an early pioneer in developing and manufacturing proximity access control cards and readers.

According to the announcement, the Palm-ID Card is fully GDPR compliant as no personal data is stored in a database. Multiple points of the user’s vein pattern is fully AES encrypted and saved on the card. The Palm-ID Card reads the template and checks the template with the hand palm. If recognized, the card reader integrated in the Palm-ID Card sends the card number to the access control system.

Panasonic will also be at Security Essen showcasing its FacePRO facial recognition solution at the booth of its technology partner Genetec. And Suprema will be there showcasing GDPR-ready enterprise access control solutions in addition to its latest range of biometric readers, multi-band RF card readers, mobile credentials and access control software platforms.
