Yoti researching ways to help charities with digital identity

Yoti is proactively seeking out ways to apply its digital identification technology to help UK charities, according to a company blog post.
Nissa Ramsey of Think Social Tech and Pauline Roche of RnR Organisation have been commissioned by Yoti to explore the most effective use cases to charities for its app. They will also consider how the company’s offline Yoti Keys solution, which is currently in development, could be used to register and identify people to allow them to access services without a smartphone or documentation.
The post calls for respondents from charities in the UK to a survey Yoti is conducting, regardless of whether they are online or tech-based or not. The research will be concluded at the end of the month, and the company says it will reveal its findings later in the year.
The Yoti app was recently selected by the Scottish Government’s Improvement Service to provide privacy-protecting proof of age or entitlement.
