Aratek to feature FBI certified fingerprint scanners at Smart Cards Expo

Biometric technologies and eID management firm ARATEK is set to showcase its latest biometric products and solutions at the 2018 Smart Cards Expo taking place later month in New Delhi, India.

The company will highlight its FBI-certified A400, A600 and FRO900 fingerprint scanners. The certification recognizes the biometric hardware’s compliance with the FBI’s Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Image Quality Specifications Standard.

Aratek CEO Michael Shao said that “FBI certification underscores the company’s intensified focus on development in order to meet the rapidly-evolving requirements of customers.”

The A400 and A600 are also reportedly in the final phase of getting certified by the STQC, India’s quality assurance and conformity assessment body. “The forthcoming STQC certification is a significant technical milestone for Aratek which will play a crucial role in strengthening our presence in India,” added Shao.

Aratek will also exhibit a range of mobile and desktop transaction solutions at Smart Cards Expo which runs from October 30 to November 1.
