Neurotechnology launches SDK to integrate facial biometrics with enterprise and consumer apps

Neurotechnology has launched a new Face Verification software development kit (SDK) to enable the integration of facial authentication with liveness detection into enterprise and consumer applications for mobile devices and PCs.

The simple API included in the Face Verification SDK library is designed for easy implementation of solutions for secure applications such as payment authentication, banking KYC, and e-service logins, according to the announcement. It provides a subset of the capabilities of Neurotechnology’s VeriLook SDK, with a smaller library size than the Face Verification portion of VeriLook 10, to allow deployment in smaller applications. Face Verification also now enables ICAO face image checks in compliance with the ISO 19794-5 standard, which integrators can use to ensure the quality of the face image captured, and in combination with liveness detection for stronger spoofing protection.

“There’s high demand for biometric authentication right now in order to comply with the latest information security regulations set by governments and institutions,” said Antonello Mincone, business development manager for Neurotechnology. “Face Verification SDK provides a highly flexible solution for a variety of biometric facial authentication use cases along with a deployment model that adapts to the change requirements and rapid scalability required for use in payment and consumer markets.”

A flexible deployment mechanism makes the Face Verification SDK easy to use for transaction-based environments, as well as for offline verification, Neurotechnology says. A trial version of the client portion of the new SDK is also available.

The company also recently launched an interactive web platform for AI-based image recognition applications.
