Goodix in-display fingerprint tech featured in Huawei P30, Vivo X27 smartphones
Huawei continues to deploy Goodix in-display fingerprint sensor technology, most recently in the new Huawei P30 smartphone. According to a Verge report, Huawei says this sensor is 30 percent faster than the one on the Mate 20 Pro, taking half a second to register your fingerprint.
Goodix’s in-display biometric tech has also been deployed in the new Vivo X27 series and the Vivo iQOO smartphones.
Last month in Barcelona, the GSMA honored Goodix for its secure live finger detection solution with the Global Mobile Awards 2019 for Best Connected Consumer Device. Goodix’s secure live finger detection solution is an integrated software and hardware solution for fingerprint authentication, data storage encryptions, and network security that can be used in smart locks, wearables, automotive, and other IoT products.
According to market insight by IHS Markit Principal Analyst Jamie Fox, Goodix was the capacitive fingerprint sensor market leader in 2018, shipping the most capacitive and optical sensors, as well as the most in-display sensors.
