CLEAR CEO and President winners in EY 2019 Entrepreneur Of The Year Awards

CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker and President Ken Cornick have been named winners of the 2019 EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award for the New York Region. The EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award celebrates those who are building and leading successful, growing and dynamic businesses and are selected by an independent judging panel made up of previous award winners, leading CEOs, investors and regional business leaders.

“There are many successful entrepreneurs in this world, but to build something truly remarkable, you can’t let anything stand in your way,” said Debra von Storch, EY Americas Entrepreneur Of The Year Program Director. “EY is proud to honor the 2019 Entrepreneur Of The Year winners who are inspiring innovation without limitation and fueling growth and prosperity by being truly unstoppable.”

CLEAR’s biometric identity membership platform is available in more than 50 airports and sports stadiums across the United States and in select cities can be used to buy food and drinks and prove legal age for alcohol purchases. There are more than three million CLEAR members in the United States.

In January CLEAR announced a new round of financing which is being used to accelerate the continued expansion of CLEAR’s platform and its airport and stadium network into new verticals. The company was recently named to the CNBC Disruptor 50 list for its work in biometric payments, age validation, and changing travel experiences.

Since its founding in 1986, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award program has expanded to recognize business leaders in more than 145 cities in more than 60 countries throughout the world. Regional award winners are now eligible for consideration for the Entrepreneur Of The Year National Awards. The Entrepreneur Of The Year National Overall Award winner then moves on to compete for the EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year Award.
