Verato signs partner and wins top ranking among patient matching services

Cloud-based patient matching company Verato has signed up advance care planning company ADVault as the first partner in its Powered by Verato (PBV) program.

The program enables healthcare technology firms to use the Verato Universal MPI, which recently integrated biometrics from Imprivata PatientSecure, to perform highly accurate, secure, cost-effective and easy to implement patient matching as a utility.

ADVault is the creator of the MyDirectives all-digital advanced care planning platform. The company chose Verato for the scale and accuracy of its technology, and says that Verato has been responsive, transparent, and honest in the relationship.

“Verato recognizes that patient matching is very often a critical component to other healthcare software solutions, but it is very complex software to build,” comments Verato CEO Mark LaRow. “Healthcare solution providers don’t want to dedicate dozens of developers and identity experts to create their own patient matching algorithms. Instead, they need to focus their energy and resources on core solution functionality. That’s why Verato offers a cloud-based, API-accessible, Universal MPI, and the new Powered By Verato program. It helps healthcare software companies get to market faster and more confidently with world-class patient matching functionality.”

Verato has also been ranked first in the 2019 Black Book Survey for the Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) category. The survey is prepared by independent healthcare-centric market research firm Black Book Market Research, and based solely on customer reviews.

LaRow says the company’s referential matching technology was recently validated by The Pew Charitable Trusts in a two-year study on the future of patient matching.
