Rank One CEO to discuss face recognition algorithm accuracy in IEEE keynote
 

Brendan Klare, Ph.D., co-founder and CEO of Rank One Computing, will be a keynote speaker at the 10th IEEE International Conference on Biometrics: Theory, Applications and Systems (BTAS 2019) later this month in Tampa, Florida.

IEEE is a driving force for the advancement and sustainability of the field of biometrics in the worldwide identity community. The organization is currently working on creating standards for facial recognition to address social concerns related to the technology.

Klare’s presentation will provide an overview of the rapid progression of face recognition algorithm accuracy in the past few years and will address the remaining challenges in commercial and government sectors for academic researchers to focus on.

Klare will also participate in a seperate panel discussion to provide guidance on the challenges and opportunities for entrepreneurship in biometrics industry.

Rank One facial recognition algorithm scored among the companies with the highest overall accuracy in the recent U.S. Department of Homeland Security Biometrics Technology Rally.
