Iris ID and Identiv win ASTORS, Chooch AI, Trulioo and Jumio innovation recognized

Iris ID has won its third ASTOR Homeland Security Award from American Security Today, picking up platinum-level recognition for its IrisAccess iCAM 7S identity authentication platform as 2019’s “Best Facial/Iris Recognition Solution,” the company has announced.

The ASTOR awards were presented during the recent ISC East event in New York City.

“This latest ASTORS award confirms the continued strength of our product line in the security market and our strategic vision for innovation, while serving our customers’ needs in a dynamically changing security landscape,” Mohammed Murad, vice president of global sales and business development for Iris ID responds.

A panel of experts evaluated the company’s ASTOR nomination for its technical innovation, interoperability, impact within its category, overall industry impact, and application feasibility outside of the industry, according to the announcement. The IrisAccess iCAM 7S won similar awards in 2016 and 2018.

Identiv, meanwhile, has been named the ASTOR’s platinum winner in the “Best Access Control and Authentication Solution” category for its Freedom Access Control system.

The system uses encryption bridges at the network edge to communicate with onsite and distributed software, and leverages a software-defined architecture (SDA) to ease migration to containerized architectures for IoT, Industrial IoT (IIoT), mobility, and cloud applications.

In other recognitions around the industry, Chooch AI has been included in “The Forrester New Wave: Computer Vision Platforms, Q4 2019” report. Chooch Visual AI enterprise productivity solution can be used to perform many different computer vision tasks with high speed and accuracy, the company says in the announcement.

The RegTech 100 list from research firm RegTech Analyst includes Trulioo for the third year in a row. The list recognizes the most innovative technology providers addressing regulatory challenges and opportunities within financial services.

Over $14 billion has been invested in RegTech since 2016, according to the announcement, and fifty-three new companies entered the list for 2020. Just over half of the RegTech 100 are based in the U.S. or UK, but 23 countries are represented overall.

Jumio has been named a Gold winner at the 2019 Best Biz Awards for Enterprise Product of the Year in the Security Software category.

The Best in Biz Awards are judged by representatives of publications and agencies in North America including Associated Press, USA Today, and Wired. They recognized the Jumio Authentication video selfie authentication solution for its ability to prevent account takeovers and fraud.
