Iris ID and Identiv win ASTORS, Chooch AI, Trulioo and Jumio innovation recognized
Iris ID has won its third ASTOR Homeland Security Award from American Security Today, picking up platinum-level recognition for its IrisAccess iCAM 7S identity authentication platform as 2019’s “Best Facial/Iris Recognition Solution,” the company has announced.
The ASTOR awards were presented during the recent ISC East event in New York City.
“This latest ASTORS award confirms the continued strength of our product line in the security market and our strategic vision for innovation, while serving our customers’ needs in a dynamically changing security landscape,” Mohammed Murad, vice president of global sales and business development for Iris ID responds.
A panel of experts evaluated the company’s ASTOR nomination for its technical innovation, interoperability, impact within its category, overall industry impact, and application feasibility outside of the industry, according to the announcement. The IrisAccess iCAM 7S won similar awards in 2016 and 2018.
Identiv, meanwhile, has been named the ASTOR’s platinum winner in the “Best Access Control and Authentication Solution” category for its Freedom Access Control system.
The system uses encryption bridges at the network edge to communicate with onsite and distributed software, and leverages a software-defined architecture (SDA) to ease migration to containerized architectures for IoT, Industrial IoT (IIoT), mobility, and cloud applications.
“We are thrilled to be recognized by American Security Today and are honored to receive a 2019 ASTORS Homeland Security Award,” comments Scott Sieracki, Identiv VP of Sales. “It is our privilege and duty to provide the U.S. federal government with the best, frictionless access control and authentication solution on the market today. The beauty and strength of a software-defined physical security perimeter eliminates complex control panel configurations and replaces them with technology that communicates over encrypted IP-network protocols. Freedom Access Control is highly secure, reliable, and uses advanced encryption technology to eradicate security vulnerabilities. That’s something we can’t do without when it comes to protecting our nation.”
In other recognitions around the industry, Chooch AI has been included in “The Forrester New Wave: Computer Vision Platforms, Q4 2019” report. Chooch Visual AI enterprise productivity solution can be used to perform many different computer vision tasks with high speed and accuracy, the company says in the announcement.

Amidst these shifts, we are honored to be named to the REGTECH100 list again and remain committed to bringing the most innovative ID verification solutions to the market.”

Jumio has been named a Gold winner at the 2019 Best Biz Awards for Enterprise Product of the Year in the Security Software category.
The Best in Biz Awards are judged by representatives of publications and agencies in North America including Associated Press, USA Today, and Wired. They recognized the Jumio Authentication video selfie authentication solution for its ability to prevent account takeovers and fraud.
“The overwhelming amount of data breaches and continued increase in account takeover fraud in 2019 make one thing abundantly clear: traditional authentication methods, such as passwords and knowledge-based authentication, are no longer secure and have become a glaring threat to enterprise security,” says Robert Prigge, CEO of Jumio. “It’s time for companies with a digital presence to adopt biometric authentication solutions to protect their users and online ecosystem from digital identity fraud by reliably verifying a user’s digital identity matches their physical identity.”
