eConnect has released a new version of its gaming and hospitality technology platform with biometric facial recognition upgrades to speed up data loads and optimize tagging features, the company announced.

“We’re always working to make our solutions better,” said Travis Whidden, eConnect’s CTO, in a prepared statement. “We have additional functionality in our new facial recognition application, but also in our POSConnect application and our case management utility which benefits all users.”

Casinos can now leverage the new eConnect facial recognition engine to identify individuals and their activity in the facility for an improved user experience, while the company’s TITO Tracker increases surveillance, improves customer experience and ensures compliance, according to the company announcement.

Upgrades were also rolled out for eConnect’s flagship product POSConnect to deliver more detailed statistical analysis. Case Manager has also been enhanced to improve customer experience. Now all images, videos and checks are saved in a single location and all keystroke activity in the log is tracked. In the improved insights page customers can get a clear overview of case activity to understand ROI.

eConnect formed a partnership with gaming industry supplier JCM Global in October to bring its facial recognition technology to casino floors.
