seamless integration

Suprema Inc. has launched a new software development kit to allow the seamless integration of the company’s devices with third-party ID management software.

The Suprema G-SDK is an enhancement to the BioStar 2 Device SDK, and leverages gRPC to communicate across different platforms in a wide variety of programming languages. Languages supported include C++, C#, Java, Python, Objective-C, Go and JavaScript, and the G-SDK also supports both iOS and Android, enabling developers to easily build new mobile applications, according to the announcement.

A recent update to the BioStar 2 biometric platform expanded its use of encryption to protect customers’ personal data.

The enhanced SDK provides performance capable of running enhanced operations and more efficient data serialization, for faster data transfer in user processes. Data transfer speeds are up to 10 times faster than with the BioStar 2 Device SDK, and the number of connected devices the software can support and volume of user management data it can transfer are dramatically increased, the company claims.

“Suprema G-SDK is a lightweight, scalable, and cross-platform solution that can expedite users’ development,” notes Suprema Inc. CEO Young S. Moon. “We expect that Suprema G-SDK will expand the usability for developers by supporting both on-premise and cloud environments using various languages.”

A new Suprema Europe SARL was recently launched by the company to support its continuing growth in biometric and access control system sales in the region.
