Appjobs has chosen Passbase’s biometric identity and document verification technology to upgrade Know Your Customer (KYC) and digital onboarding operations, the company announced.

Established in 2017, Appjobs’ operations span across 770 global cities and boasts a large partner portfolio which includes Airbnb, TaskRabbit and Rover. Its offices are located in Katowice, Poland, and Stockholm, Sweden.

The Passbase integration will provide users will instant identity verification. Users will have to provide a passport photo, national ID card photo or driver’s license photo and a selfie. Passbase can process government IDs from 190 countries. The technology checks the uploaded document for authenticity, then matches it to the user’s biometrics, and last uses liveness detection to ensure the user is present and legitimate.

“Partnering with Passbase helps us provide a fully digital and frictionless onboarding experience,” Magdalena Wierzbicka, head of Partner Growth at Appjobs, said in the announcement. “Their interface is easy to navigate for our users and their platform helps our team reach decisions very quickly and intuitively”.

“We’re very excited to be supporting Appjobs’ mission as it continues to grow globally,” Mathias Klenk, CEO and co-founder of Passbase, said in a prepared statement. “Because our suite of KYC tools is available in most major languages and across different platforms, we can enable Appjobs to onboard users from all corners of the world with simplicity and security.”

Passbase’s biometric identity verification technology has recently been chosen by Nevada-based non-profit organization Las Vegas Pride to help advance its digital transformation and enhance community members’ safety.
