Fingerprint Cards AB appoints new executive

Fingerprint Cards AB has appointed Henrik Storm to the position of Vice President of Customer Projects and as member of the Executive Management Team. Henrik assumed his new role on August 15.

Storm has a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. Before that, he completed a Licentiate of Engineering degree in Mathematics. Storm has been working for Fingerprint Cards AB for the past eight years and three of those years were as project manager for Fingerprint Cards AB’s swipe sensor venture. Storm will continue to be involved in other operations such as the development of algorithms and software for the company.

Fingerprint Cards AB specializes in the marketing, development and production of biometric components and technologies. These are often used in the analysis and verification of a person’s identity in cases of personnel management and attendance checking. The technologies often applied consist of biometric sensors, processors, algorithms and modules, all of which can be used as a standalone unit, or in conjunction with other equipment.

Some of the advantages with using Fingerprint Cards AB’s technologies are unique image quality, low power consumption and an overall robust and complete biometric system. These biometric technologies are especially ideal for large production volumes such as smart cards and mobile phones as they are resilient and easy to use. Fingerprint Cards AB is one of the big players in the IT, access control and Internet security industry.

Johan Carlstrom, President and Chief Executive Officer of Fingerprint Cards AB, made the announcement.
