Innometriks to demo multi-modal biometrics scanner

Innometriks will demonstrate its Rhino reader that utilizes Lumidigm fingerprint biometrics at the ASIS security convention in Philadelphia this September.

“At ASIS, security professionals can see why multi-spectral fingerprint readers are being used at the front end of systems ranging from doors that protect the government’s most valuable assets to ATMs in Brazil and the entrances to major amusement parks,” said Bill Spence, Lumidigm vice president, transaction systems.

Lumidigm fingerprint sensors use multi-spectral imaging technology that reads fingerprints both on and below the skin.

Innometriks’ reader technology fuses smart card, embedded biometrics, PKI and digital signature technologies into one multi-modal device that is engineered specifically for high-security applications requiring multi-factor authentication.
