CARTES 2012 includes biometrics companies

CARTES 2012 Exhibition and Conference, the world’s leading event in smart technologies for security, payment, identification and mobility, takes place this week in Paris, France.

From November 6-8, exhibitors from the smart technology industry, including identification and mobile payment cmopanies, will present their innovative devices and solutions through live demos.

Biometrics companies Thales, Smart Access and Natural Security, will be exhibiting.

Smart Access will demonstrate a new biometric signature solution of e-docs with legal validity. The handwritten signature is captured, using a smartphone or tablet with a touchscreen, generating a unique pattern for e-docs. Smart Access will be in hall 4, stand N 050.

Natural Security, as Biometric Update reported today, is combining biometrics and contactless communication for secure payments. The company will be demonstrating the two methods of authentication with fingerprint and finger vein devices in hall 4, stand L092.

Isabelle Moeller, chief executive with Biometrics Institute, will be leading a session called “Biometrics: New Customer Experience” on Tuesday morning.
