Susmita Datta, a professor of Public Health & Information Science at the University of Louisville has been elected to a three-year term on the advisory board of the International Biometric Society (Eastern North American Region).
According to an announcement from the University of Louisville, as a board member, Datta will contribute to policy decisions, give input on appointments and activities and will represent the international community in various biometric society activities.
“This is a prestigious position,” Department of Bioinformatics and Biostatistics Chair K.B. Kulasekera, said in the University announcement. “We are proud of Susmita as she joins other board members from institutions such as Johns Hopkins, MD Anderson, Columbia and University of Pennsylvania to influence our profession.”
