Biometrics Institute: Introduction to Biometrics Short-Course Europe 2014

The Biometrics Institute is holding a 2 day, 16 hour workshop on the 10 – 11 February 2014 at the Imperial College, London, UK. This is a unique opportunity to take advantage of high quality training in application of biometrics in Europe. The course will be facilitated by leading international biometrics expert Dr James L. Wayman, San Jose State University, USA. The course is designed for persons looking for a quick introduction to the history, fundamentals, standards, performance capabilities and case studies of biometric systems; with a focus on fingerprint, face and iris recognition. Although materials are of a technical nature, mathematical development is avoided in favour of a qualitative description of these systems and their fundamentals.
