Cross Match Technologies has just been honored by the British Consul General and the UK Trade & Investment Office at the GREAT Business Innovation Awards 2014 gala, held during BritWeek, last week in Miami, Florida.

Specifically, Cross Match was recognized in the innovation category of Service Provision for previous success in support of the UK Home Office (UKBA) and its current drive to increase its UK footprint and grow its European business.

“We are pleased to be recognized for our contribution to the larger bilateral economic partnership between South Florida and the UK,” noted John Hinmon, head of marketing for Cross Match. “The UK represents an important market for Cross Match. Our livescan fingerprint scanners are in virtually every constabulary and at most ports of entry into the UK, and our multi-biometric handheld solutions are in use with various UK security and defense forces.”

Reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, Cross Match recently announced the opening of its UK office, in Reading, outside of London.
