VoiceVault launches voice biometric platform exclusively for mobile apps

VoiceVault has announced the launch of ViGo – an exclusively-mobile voice biometric platform.

According to VoiceVault, ViGo is the first voice biometric platform designed exclusively for mobile and is intended to be used straight-off-the-shelf. The company says ViGo provides a complete ecosystem for developing and deploying voice biometrics in a mobile app.

“Because hundreds of millions of people use their smartphones or tablets for both business and personal applications, there is very large demand for strong but simple log-on or activation,” Dan Miller, Sr. Analyst at Opus Research said. “Voice-based authentication fills that bill, and VoiceVault’s ViGo puts it right on every mobile app developers design palette.”

ViGo uses phrase or digit-based voice registration and can be deployed on either Android or iOS.

“Organizations want to use voice biometrics in their mobile apps to deliver secure convenience and they want to be able to integrate it in the simplest and quickest way possible,” Nik Stanbridge, Vice President of Product Marketing for VoiceVault said. “ViGo is responding to this need by providing a standardized out of the box solution that cuts time to market and organizational resource needs with a complete voice biometrics package.”

With the ViGo release, VoiceVault has also launched a new website with additional resources specifically for app developers.

Reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, VoiceVault recently joined the FIDO Alliance. The company sees its membership in the alliance as a part of a larger effort to raise the profile of voice biometrics as a technology for identity authentication.
