SRI International iris biometric system gets AMAG certification

SRI International has announced that its iris biometric system has just been certified with AMAG Technology under its symmetry extended business solutions program.

Specifically, the company’s Iris on the Move N-Glance system has been integrated with AMAG’s Symmetry v.7.0.1 Security Management System access control software.

“The integration with SRI’s IOM N-Glance system offers customers a hands-free, efficient biometric solution for Symmetry end users needing increased security,” Symmetry Extended Business Solutions Program Manager Shae Taylor said.

“Positive identity verification is essential for effective access control,” Mark Clifton, vice president, Products and Services Division at SRI International said. “SRI’s highly accurate, easy-to-use biometric systems integrate seamlessly with Symmetry software to implement secure access throughout any facility or campus.”

According to SRI, its IOM system allows for iris scanning in all lighting conditions, both indoors and out. It also allows people to glance at the machine, rather than to stand and line up their eyes. SRI says identification takes less than a second.

Reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, SRI recently announced that its IOM N-Glance biometric system was installed at E-Commerce Park Curaçao, a new data center in the Pan Caribbean area.
