SRI International to exhibit Iris on the Move biometric systems at ISC West 2014

SRI International will be exhibiting its full line of Iris on the Move biometric systems at ISC West 2014.

The company will be located in booth #2089 at the conference, taking place this week, on April 1-4, 2014, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas.

In particular, says the company, the PassPort SL, which was released in January 2014, will also be on display and staff will be giving live demonstrations of the product. As we’ve reported in BiometricUpdate.com, SRI International says this particular product is capable of processing 30 people per minute.

Codes and cards are easily lost, forgotten, stolen, or shared. Estimates vary, but simply resetting or replacing passwords and cards can cost between $150 and $200 per employee or customer per year. Badges, pin codes, and even some biometric solutions can impede the free flow of facility access. And clumsy, antiquated, vulnerable, and limited access control systems expose an organization to dangers such as theft or fraud,” Steve Perna, the executive director of SRI’s products and Services Division wrote in a company blog post. “Biometric access control—iris recognition in particular—has advanced rapidly in the last few years. Iris recognition is now a secure and fast identification solution.”

Reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, SRI International recently announced that its Iris on the Move N-Glance biometric system has been deployed at the E-Commerce Park Curaçao, a new data center in the Pan Caribbean area.
