Oberthur Technologies has announced the launched of a new range of products for the identity and access security market.

Dubbed, Guardialys Convergence, the company says these new solutions provide a single smart device for securing premises and data access at the same time. They also offer both physical and logical access control through four packaged solutions: Guardialys Convergence Entry, Convergence QS, Convergence HT and Convergence PIV.

Guardialys Convergence HT supports biometric match-on-card.

“By implementing the latest technologies such as biometric match-on-card and elliptic curves, this solution ensures the highest level of security while remaining easy to implement and use,” Olivier Prestel, Managing Director of the Identity Business Unit at OT said. “Based on a PKI scheme and protected in smart devices, the employee’s identity can be interfaced with any physical access system in place, and by following all the existing standards, most software and IT environment will be easily secured.”

Reported previously in BiometricUpdate.com, Oberthur recently announced the issuance of the 5th million biometric ePassport in Uzbekistan. https://www.biometricupdate.com/201405/oberthur-boasts-5th-million-issued-epassport-in-uzbekistan
