Neurotechnology releases software update; uses fingerprint, face recognition to track time and attendance

Neurotechnology announced it has released NCheck Bio Attendance 2.1, the latest version of its time and attendance tracking software that now offers fingerprint or face biometrics support.

The announcement comes a few months after Neurotechnology released several new versions of products across its entire line of biometric SDKs.

Using Neurotechnology’s latest biometric fingerprint and face identification algorithms, NCheck Bio Attendance is able to rapidly and accurately verify an individual’s identity as well as log their attendance data.

Based on Neurotechnology’s face and fingerprint recognition engines, the software enables users to check-in and check-out with basic PC webcams, built-in cameras on Android devices or 50 different fingerprint scanner models.

As a convenient alternative to using RFID tokens or remembering PINs or passwords, NCheck Bio Attendance does not require hardware and can be installed on standard Windows PCs and Android devices.

The software can be networked as a single system, enabling the use of multiple check-in points or attendance kiosks around work sites, facilities or any other venue. It can be used on its own or with network-based systems, while users are able to view their attendance data online.

This recent update offers a range of new features including fingerprint and face recognition support, Android devices support including the Samsung Galaxy Tab and Google Nexus 7, custom reporting capabilities for better integration with existing payroll system, and web user interface.

“In this NCheck update we focused on expanding NCheck usability features,” said Vaidas Didvalis, NCheck project manager for Neurotechnology. “I believe that Android OS support for NCheck enables the creation of more flexible and convenient time and attendance systems.”

Those individuals interested in trying out the software can access a 30-day download trial, with full functionality, on the Neurotechnology website.
