FPC integrates touch fingerprint sensor in Oppo R7 Plus smartphone

Fingerprints Cards (FPC) announced that Oppo has integrated its touch fingerprint sensor FPC1025 into its new Android smartphone, Oppo R7 Plus.

The order value of this phone launch is included in FPC’s previously announced revenue guidance of + 1 500 MSEK for 2015.

“Oppo is a leading smartphone manufacturer in China and we are proud that Oppo selected FPC1025 for R7 Plus, its second smartphone with a touch fingerprint sensor, following the Oppo N3 phone embedding FPC1021 that was launched in 2014,” said Jörgen Lantto, acting president and CEO of FPC. “FPC1025 supports 360 degree finger rotation capability, fast response time and industry leading 3D image quality”

May has proven to be a strong month for Fingerprint Cards, having also received an order valued at SEK 230 million (USD$27.96 million) for its touch fingerprint sensors FPC1020, FPC1025, FPC1145, FPC1155 and FPC1035 from an undisclosed module partner, as well as an order for its touch fingerprint sensors FPC1025 and FPC1155 from the Taiwanese integrated circuits distributor World Peace Industrial Group (WPI), part of WPG Holdings.
