LG G Pro 3 rumored to feature iris recognition technology

The upcoming LG G Pro, which will be released later this year, is rumored to feature iris recognition technology, according to a report by IT Pro Portal.

The rumors come a few months after it was reported that LG’s next smartphone, LG G5, would have iris recognition capabilities.

Since the LG G Pro 3 is not the company’s flagship smartphone, the company will likely sell the device at a premium or it is testing the new iris scanner for potential integration in future flagship devices.

And considering that LG have tested different features on less popular devices, it is highly likely that LG is doing the same here with the iris scanner.

LG will launch the G Pro later in the year, although it has not specified an exact date or month.
