Solus launches two-factor authentication solution with Eyeprint ID

Biometric security solutions firm Solus has launched its two-factor authentication (2FA) solution which enables users to take a selfie to login to mobile apps and web services, according to a report by IT Pro Portal.

Using EyeVerify’s Eyeprint ID technology and a scrambled PinPad, Solus is able to offer secure 2FA to enterprises, enabling them to securely access any web service or mobile app.

Solus differs from many competing 2FA systems in that it uses the camera in an existing smartphone, eliminating the need for additional hardware.

Users can set up Solus’ 2FA system in less than a minute while the sign-in process can be completed within two seconds.

Compatible with Android and iOS devices, Solus’ 2FA system can be set up by taking a picture of the unique blood vessels of an individual’s eye.

Since an individual’s vessels or veins remain constant with age, it offers an effective biometric login. It can also be used in various lighting conditions, as well as through glasses and contact lenses.

Solus is currently offering a complimentary “sign up and log in” test experience of its 2FA system on its website.

Single sign on is also available for companies using active directories and LDAP solutions, and can be integrated with Solus in just a few hours.
