Actual iD uses BioConnect ID biometric platform to manage time and attendance application

Actual iD announced it has deployed Entertech Systems’ BioConnect as its identity platform to manage biometric templates for the company’s cloud-based time and attendance application.

Actual iD’s cloud-based time and attendance application provides fingerscan time clocks to eliminate employees from potentially engaging in time theft or buddy punching.

As a result, companies using Actual iD will benefit from payroll cost reductions over and above efficiency gains in the payroll process.

BioConnect’s identity management platform enables the use of biometrics within a range of third-party applications.

For Actual iD, BioConnect provides a much-needed platform to deliver a strong, scalable and reliable application to its customers.

“BioConnect provides the necessary capability to allow Actual iD to deliver significant incremental business value to our Customers,” said Actual iD Inc. president Jeff Crews. “The advanced template management capability allows the simple management of biometric templates across multiple locations and devices. We have focused on building a simple-to-use application that is based on users’ true identity – only available through biometrics. BioConnect is the key ingredient to realize that goal.”

Working with a business’ individual requirements, Actual iD enables companies to schedule, manage overtime, handle exceptions and provide alerts through monitoring their staff in real time.

The time and attendance management application also includes HR functionality to effectively manage employee vacations and sick time off as well as compliance with state or provincial labor laws for mandatory breaks and overtime that tend to vary from region to region.

“We continue to see increased adoption of BioConnect across our growing list of industry partners,” said Chris Alexander, BioConnect product manager at Entertech Systems Inc. “Our unique flexible plug-in architecture allows Actual iD to integrate biometrics into its core offering seamlessly.”

Previously reported, Nymi and Entertech Systems have formed a new partnership in which the companies will combine Entertech’s enterprise identity platform, BioConnect, with Nymi’s secure and continuous wearable authentication device, the Nymi Band.
