CrossChx biometric identification platform has verified over 33M patient profiles

Identity management firm CrossChx announced the expansion of their CrossChx Identity Resolution Coalition (CIRC) to 200 hospitals across the United States.

CIRC solves patient identity issues by addressing the challenge of patient identity, enabling more accurate care and better fraud prevention.

Through the coalition, CrossChx takes all the elements of a patient’s medical identity including fingerprints and resolves it to one complete record. This gives every hospital that is part of the CIRC the benefit of a secure medical identity that protects the integrity of the individual hospital and patient data.

To date, CIRC has resolved over 33 million patient profiles, and now represents more locations than any single health system in the US. More than 100,000 instant notifications flagging potential identity errors have been sent to hospitals, identifying and helping to resolve more than 2 million medical identity errors. Using proprietary algorithms, CrossChx maps and matches a person’s records against all available data to resolve an identity down to one complete record. Through CIRC, CrossChx has discovered 75 percent more identity errors than any other solutions that hospitals currently deploy, and identified over 2 million identity errors on top of traditional de-duplication systems.
