MorphoWave Tower touchless biometric access control solution honored by IFSEC

Morpho (Safran) announced that MorphoWave Tower, which it calls the market’s first biometric access solution that features high-speed touchless fingerprint matching, has received the top honor in the “Access Control Product of the Year” category at the Security & Fire Excellence Awards 2015 competition. The judging panel was composed of representatives from the security, academic and policing sectors.

MorphoWave Tower captures and matches four fingerprints simultaneously, as the user simply waves a hand over its sensor to be identified. Its touchless acquisition capability meets the growing demand for frictionless access control at high-traffic, sensitive, and secure locations. The users of MorphoWave Tower can remain ‘on the move’ when passing through control points.

Matthew Insley, Morpho’s Regional Director of Sales for Biometric Terminals, said: “Right from the project launch, we had the firm conviction that our new product would be a major innovation for the access control sector. There’s nothing else like it on the market. We are extremely proud that an independent and high caliber jury shares our opinion.”

Morpho launched MorphoWave at ISC West earlier this year and was acknowledged with the Best New Product Award at the Security Industry Association’s 2015 New Product Showcase.
