NAFCU selects Daon as exclusive biometric authentication technology provider

Daon has been selected by the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) Services Corporation as its preferred partner for biometric authentication technology.

NAFCU Services Corporation is a wholly owned subsidiary of the National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) and for more than 40 years has partnered with leading providers to offer superior solutions to the credit union industry.

Randy Salser, NAFCU Services Corporation President commented on the announcement. “At NAFCU Services we continue to identify essential solutions for credit unions, and the technology Daon provides addresses major security threats that are top priorities for NAFCU members. Our partnership with Daon supports and strengthens the credit union community as a whole.”

Daon’s IdentityX® Platform allows financial institutions to integrate biometrics for their mobile authentication needs, such as face, fingerprint, and voice recognition into existing security schemas. IdentityX® helps organizations improve the user experience, reduce fraud, manage risk, attract new members, and future-proof their security technology.

“We are delighted to partner with NAFCU Services to bring mobile biometric authentication to credit union members,” said Daon CEO Tom Grissen. “We look forward to working with NAFCU members to help credit unions garner a more secure future in addition to enjoying a faster and more convenient way to authenticate via their mobile app.”

Just last month UK digital bank Atom, which is due to launch this year, announced that it will use Daon’s IdentityX platform for clients to log-in to its mobile banking app to access accounts and make financial transactions. Daon`s mobile biometric authentication solution was also chosen by USAA last year to integrate into its mobile app and by mid-October had processed 1 million mobile biometric enrollments.
