BIO-key biometric technology featured at HIMSS 2016

Ten of BIO-key International‘s healthcare partners will be highlighting the company’s solutions at the HIMSS 2016 event this week in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Over 35,000 healthcare IT professionals are expected to attend the four day educational and networking event.

Microsoft’s Stephen Rose, Health and Life Science Industry Lead, will feature BIO-key’s technology during his session “Holograms, Wearables and Future Technology: How Trends in Technology are Changing the Face of Patient Care”.

BIO-key solutions will also be highlighted at the company’s partners’ and customers’ booths including: Aesynt, now part of Omnicell; Allscripts; Aventura; Caradigm; HealthCast; IBM and KSI Keyboards; Epic, and; HID Global.

At this year’s HIMSS event, BIO-key will be introducing a new BIO-key branded, high-quality FIPS-compliant fingerprint reader for healthcare, at a breakthrough price for an EPCS (electronic prescriptions for controlled substances) compliant scanner.

BIO-key recently partnered with HealthIDx, a federal standards-compliant credential services provider (CSP), to offer a new compliant enrollment identity assurance service for eprescribing. This partnership expands the markets for BIO-key’s biometric authentication solutions and makes BIO-key’s eprescribing authentication available to many more health systems.

Earlier this month, BIO-key announced the successful completion of a 12-city roadshow with Microsoft, which featured BIO-key’s fingerprint scanners and software solutions as part of the U.S. launch of Windows 10 for Business and Office 2016.
