Fingerprint Cards introduces FPCLiveTouch spoof detection solution for sensors

Motivated by increased demand for secure mobile payments, Fingerprint Cards (FPC) has introduced FPCLiveTouch, a security solution for fingerprint sensors that can identify and reject spoofing attempts (fake fingers) without requiring additional hardware and without impact on verification time.

FPCLiveTouch is compatible with all touch fingerprint sensors in FPC’s product portfolio.

“FPCLiveTouch is the result of our R&D team showing its leadership in this industry,” said Jörgen Lantto, President and CEO of FPC.

“FPCLiveTouch will enable our customers to further extend the security level of their offering without compromising convenience. Our complete system offering combining our industry leading image quality with our software and algorithm is the reason we can bring this solution forward. This makes us confident we can maintain our technology leadership into the future”.

FPCLIveTouch is available commercially in the first quarter of 2016 and has already begun shipping.
