Precise Biometrics signs new licensing agreement; announces smartphone integrations

Precise Biometrics has entered into an agreement with EOSMEM for licensing of Precise Biometrics’ algorithm solution, Precise BioMatch Mobile.

Precise BioMatch Mobile is an algorithm solution for fingerprint recognition on smartphones and tablets. The patented hybrid algorithm solution is optimized for small fingerprint sensors and platforms with limited processing power and memory space.

The license agreement will generate royalty revenue based on sales of fingerprint sensors from EOSMEM that includes Precise BioMatch Mobile. The agreement includes a limited initial fixed fee for the right to integrate and use Precise Biometrics’ software, which will be recognized starting from the second quarter 2016.

“EOSMEM is a new interesting sensor vendor and we are looking forward to our collaboration,” said Håkan Persson, CEO of Precise Biometrics. “Our partnership further strengthens our local presence in Asia and our position as the leading supplier of fingerprint software.”

New smartphone integrations

Precise BioMatch Mobile, through cooperation with Synaptics, has been integrated in two smartphones from a leading Taiwanese vendor.

The integration will generate royalty revenue starting from the second quarter 2016.

”We are pleased to be integrated in our first smartphones from this vendor as a result of the collaboration with Synaptics,” said Håkan Persson, CEO of Precise Biometrics. “Precise Biometrics fingerprint software is integrated in products from over 30 smartphone vendors and is the preferred choice to ensure a superior user experience and secure identity verification on mobile devices.”
