Precise Biometrics technology integrated in 30 Android smartphones over past year

Precise Biometrics announced that its product for fingerprint recognition in mobile devices, Precise BioMatch Mobile, has been integrated in 30 smartphones from over 15 different vendors during 2015.

Last September, Precise BioMatch Mobile was integrated in the world’s first Android phone with a touch fingerprint sensor, Huawei Ascend Mate 7.

Since then, Precise Biometrics technology has been integrated in a number of Android smartphones that feature a touch fingerprint sensor.

”We have won the trust of both leading and upcoming smartphone vendors through our high performance fingerprint software that provides the best combination of user convenience, speed and security,” said Håkan Persson, CEO of Precise Biometrics. “We are fully committed to create innovate solutions that enable easy integration of fingerprint technology in both mobile and embedded devices, and look forward to contribute to the fast user adoption of this technology.”

Precise BioMatch Mobile offers seamless integration of fingerprint matching functionality for smartphones and tablets, and is optimized for small touch sensors in mobile environments via a unique patented hybrid algorithm.

The software quickly, accurately, and securely verifies the user’s identity, ensuring a seamless user experience for consumers when unlocking their mobile device or authenticating to services, as well as delivering greater security.

Previously reported, Precise Biometrics named Tommy Nilsson the company’s new CFO.
