ASUS selects Synaptics’ Natural ID fingerprint sensors for its flagship tablet

Synaptics‘ Natural ID fingerprint sensors have been selected by ASUS for secure, high-performance biometric authentication on its flagship tablet, the ASUS Zenpad 3S 10.

ASUS chose Synaptics’ FS4300 solution, a fingerprint sensor with over 100 million units shipped into mass production

“We are thrilled about the newly launched ASUS ZenPad 3S 10,” commented Rangoon Chang, general manager, Mobile Computing Business Unit, ASUS. “The security of Synaptics’ fingerprint authentication solution along with the convenience of not having to type passwords is a key upgrade.”

“Synaptics’ Natural ID’s one-touch fingerprint authentication solution delivers a high-performance and reliable user experience and industry-leading security features,” said Anthony Gioeli, vice president of marketing, Biometrics Product Division, Synaptics. “ASUS is an important customer and we very much look forward to the opportunity for further engagements.”

Back in June, ASUS selected Synaptics Natural ID fingerprint sensors for its flagship ZenFone 3 Deluxe and ZenFone 3 Ultra smartphone series.
