Latest Micromax smartphone features Fingerprint Cards touch sensor FPC1035

The recently launched smartphone from Indian OEM Micromax features Fingerprint Cards (FPC) touch sensor FPC1035.

In a company statement, FPC noted that this is the first time a Fingerprint Cards solution has been integrated by an Indian OEM.

“This is a very strong sign of Fingerprints’ market position and our ability to expand our global reach,” commented Ted Hansson, senior vice president Business Line Mobile at Fingerprint Cards. “India is currently the third largest and the fastest growing smartphone market in the world and we have local sales and support in India, which clearly gives us a competitive edge in this rapidly developing market.”

Last month Fingerprint Cards released its annual report for 2016, which saw its best year ever with US$743 million in revenues, amounting to a 129 percent increase over its revenues of US$356.6 million in 2015.
