Fingerprint Cards announces new collaboration, deployments

 

Fingerprint Cards has announced a new collaboration with Biel Crystal.

Biel Crystal is a Hong Kong-based module house with manufacturing facilities in ShenZhen and Huizhou. With more than 60,000 workers, the manufacturer supplies glass components for watch, mobile phone, tablet and notebook customers and, according to the company’s website, supports 90 percent of the world’s top mobile brands in some manner.

“We are continuously developing our business on this rapidly moving market. Teaming up with the right, carefully selected partners and broadening our network is essential to grow our business and maintain a competitive offering,” explained Ted Hansson, Senior Vice President, Business Line Mobile, at Fingerprint Cards.

Last month the company announced partnerships with Chinese module houses Fingerchip and A-Kerr (SPEED). Fingerprint Cards now collaborates with more than 11 module houses, the majority of which are based in Greater China.

In other company news, Fingerprint Cards FPC1264 sensor is featured in the new Huawei Honor 9 and the FPC1245 sensor is featured in the new OPPO R11 and R11 Plus mobile devices.
