OT-Morpho unveils ultra-compact fingerprint capture product

OT-Morpho has released MorphoTop Slim, its new ultra-compact fingerprint capture product that is six times smaller than current products, facilitating its integration into mobile solutions or existing structures.

MorphoTop Slim is certified FBI IQS Appendix F and was officially launched last week at the Federal Identity Forum and Expo 2017 (Fed ID), in Washington, DC.

Based on the TFT (Thin-Film Transistor) technology, this ultra-thin terminal allows the capture of 10 fingers flat or rolled. According to a company statement, capture of fingers is possible in less than two seconds and the device offers improved performance for dry fingers and a specific finish to avoid traces.

MorphoTop Slim integrates into the MorphoESA enrollment solution and has a wide range of uses including border control, police investigations, mass enrollment or eKYC.

“We have a proven experience in the field of biometric data capture with over one million sensors sold worldwide,” explained Philippe Larcher, OT-Morpho, head of the security division, Morpho. “We are committed to continuously improve our offer to provide our customers with ever more efficient and easy-to-use solutions, and this new product, which is the result of our research and expertise, is an example.”
