Samsung SDS demonstrating authentication technologies at Money 20/20

Samsung SDS America will demonstrate its authentication technologies, including Samsung SDS Nexsign, with leading partners in the financial industry at Money 20/20 2017 in Las Vegas.

The demonstrations will showcase the latest innovations from Diebold Nixdorf, BioCatch and Moxtra that use Samsung SDS’s advanced mobile technologies to improve security and improve the user experience.

Samsung SDS Nexsign is a FIDO compliant biometric authentication platform that leverages facial recognition technology with the ATM to complete a secure cardless cash withdrawal in seconds.

“As financial industry customers and employees continue to experience security issues that can incur considerable time and money to resolve, Samsung SDS has invested numerous resources in our own mobile security platforms while collaborating with innovative companies in the financial industry to develop robust authentication solutions to replace passwords and other information which can be breached, stolen or forgotten,” said Rich Lobovsky, VP of Enterprise Solutions of Samsung SDS America. “By using unique biological information for user authentication, critical financial and personal information can become more secure, saving organizations from using staff and budgets that would normally be dedicated to managing passwords and personal identification numbers (PINs).”

At Diebold Nixdorf’s booth, the company will showcase its latest conceptual technology, Fusion, which incorporates near field communication (NFC) for secure communication between the phone and the ATM.

Using Samsung SDS’s Nexsign technology with Diebold Nixdorf’s mobile banking application, the companies will demonstrate a seamless, cardless, pinless ATM cash withdrawal transaction.

BioCatch’s booth will demonstrate how the company’s behavioral biometrics technology (physiological, cognitive, and contextual factors) can be used with Samsung SDS’s Nexsign to create frictionless, continuous authentication throughout a mobile banking session.

Finally, Moxtra’s booth will provide demonstrations of Moxtra’s secure collaboration tools (secure video, e-form, e-signature) on a tablet, coupled with Samsung SDS’s Nexsign biometric authentication technology, to facilitate the customer engagement process from onboarding to relationship management.

In addition, Lobovsky will participate in the panel discussion “Identity is Fundamental: What You Need to Know About Identity & the Future of Money”, on October 25.

Previously reported, Diebold Nixdorf and Samsung SDS America partnered to showcase how integrating mobile biometric technology and the self-service channel can help improve security and the overall consumer experience.
