ImageWare solution protects entertainment industry IP

Secure Channels has selected ImageWare’s GoVerifyID solution to secure its Entertainment Security Operations Center (ESOC) with multi-factor biometric authentication.

Secure Channels’ ESOC is a members only, closed end, centralized ecosystem for secure management of the entertainment industry’s chain-of-custody content and intellectual property. ESOC is designed to protect data, files and emails and requires authorized access through exclusive membership via a centralized SOC housed in a Tier 3 data center, and is purpose-built for the entertainment industry.

“ImageWare’s GoVerifyID provides state-of-the-art security for the entertainment industry which can mitigate devastating breaches like those that occurred with Sony and HBO,” explained ImageWare’s chairman and CEO Jim Miller. “Password compromise represents over 80 percent of the data breaches that occur and biometrics is the only true way to authenticate users. ImageWare’s GoVerifyID, when combined with Secure Channels ESOC, enables the platform to be the most secure in the world.”

“We are delighted to provide GoVerifyID to TV and movie producers, entertainment firms, studios, networks, production companies, post production houses, and other participants in the entertainment industry,” added Richard Blech, CEO of Secure Channels Inc. “The integration of GoVerifyID with Secure Channels’ patented cryptographic solutions protects the entertainment industry’s intellectual property with custom designed end-to-end security including biometric authentication to shield against theft.”

GoVerifyID available on IBM Security App Exchange

ImageWare also announced that GoVerifyID for IBM Security Access Manager (ISAM) is now available on the IBM Security App Exchange.

GoVerifyID integrates with IBM identity and access management technology to provide an end-to-end, multi-modal, biometric security solution for all ISAM authentication processes. GoVerifyID, combined with ISAM, allows users to swipe a fingerprint, take a selfie, speak a passphrase, show their palm, or enter a PIN on their mobile devices to authenticate for any ISAM managed resource. The enterprise-ready integration package deploys automatically into existing ISAM environments and has been validated by IBM Security.

This new integration allows ImageWare and IBM customers to replace or augment passwords with biometrics and is freely available to the security community through IBM Security App Exchange.
