Precise Biometrics publishes 2017 annual report

 

Precise Biometrics has published its annual report for 2017.

The 104-page document summarizes the market performance and key highlights of the last year for Precise Biometrics, and describes its position and strategy going forward. It includes a section on how “Payments & Financial Services are Driving the Biometrics Market,” and identifies a growth strategy based on capacitive sensors for smartphones, and to a lesser extent, in-display sensors for high-end smartphones, smart cards, and new applications.

The report also notes significant developments for the company since the year-end, including that the company has replaced former CEO Håkan Persson with incoming CEO Stefan K Persson, who will assume the position by August 1, and who the company recently announced it will consider adding to its incentive plan at its upcoming AGM.

Precise Biometrics reported net sales of SEK 61 million ($7.6 million) for the full year, a steep decline from a year earlier.
