SecuGen showcasing ultra-compact fingerprint reader and sensor at connect:ID

SecuGen will be featuring the newly-released Hamster Pro 10, an FBI certified and ultra-compact fingerprint reader, and the U10 sensor at next week’s connect:ID exhibition in Washington, D.C.

The Hamster Pro 10 fingerprint reader is priced for large scale deployments and the U10 sensor that is inside of the Hamster Pro 10 is just under 13 mm in thickness and can be easily embedded in nearly any type of hardware device, such as ATMs, access control devices, laptops, handhelds, industrial equipment and many other types of products. Both are compatible with SecuGen’’s free SDKs for Windows, Linux, and Android. The Hamster Pro 10 also works with Windows Hello right out of the box.

“We are very excited to release this new product,” commented Jeff Brown, VP of sales and marketing for SecuGen. “The U10 sensor is small enough to be embedded in a wide array of devices. Our customers, particularly our OEM customers, have been asking us for a smaller sensor. Our team really came through this time.”

“Our engineering team … managed to design an optical sensor that may be the smallest in the industry,” added Dan Riley, VP of engineering. “This was accomplished without sacrificing quality which was no small feat. We are very proud of the result.”
