Zenus partners with Expo Logic for event check-in facial recognition service

Zenus has announced a partnership with event technology company Expo Logic to offer facial recognition event check-in services.

Allowing event attendees to check in with only their face results potential benefits including shorter wait times, more secure meetings, and personalized attendee greetings, the companies say. The service recognizes attendees as they approach, greets them by name, and automatically prints their ID badge.

“We see attendee faces light up when they interact with the technology,” says Jeff Cooper, President of Expo Logic, “They are delighted and surprised by this efficient and personal check-in experience.”

The technology has been used at several events since its first trial in the fall of 2017, according to the announcement.

“Facial recognition is intuitive and easy to use. The attendee participation has been exceeding our expectations because people are already familiar with the technology. Event planners who want to maximize their attendee experience should definitely give it a try,” says Panos Moutafis, President of Zenus.

Zenus is offered on a software-as-a-service model, which Aware VP of Marketing and Product David Benini told Biometric Update in February biometrics are perfectly suited for. Moutafis said last year that it reduces the check-in process from more than a minute to about 20 seconds per person.
