Radiant, Secure Planet and Rank One launch turn-key multimodal biometric solution

Radiant Solutions has announced the launch of a complete turn-key multimodal biometrics system developed in collaboration with Secure Planet and Rank One Computing (ROC). The AFIX Tracker FR provides fingerprint and palm print friction-ridge matching and facial identification for integrated searches on a single platform.

The solution includes hardware, software, support and training for both system operation and facial identification techniques, and uses ROC’s algorithms, which are designed for unconstrained face detection. ROC’s algorithms had the highest scores of any U.S. companies participating in NIST’s Face Recognition Vendor Tests (FRVT) for fastest enrollment speed and True Identification Rate (TIR), and the algorithms also have among the industry’s lowest failure-to-enroll rates, according to the announcement.

“The proven strength of our best-in-class fingerprint and palm print identification system, AFIX Tracker, is now enhanced by the addition of powerful and accurate facial identification features,” said Tony Frazier, Radiant Solutions’ President. “Through collaboration with Secure Planet and the integration of Rank One Computing facial identification technology, we are excited to announce AFIX Tracker FR, a multi-modal biometric investigations tool that combines a versatile new level of identification capability with the AFIX Tracker traditions of precision, reliability, scalability, and affordability.”

Radiant, which is a Maxar Techologies company, and Secure Planet each demonstrated the collaboration at the recent International Association for Identification (IAI) Forensic Education Conference.

“We’re very excited about the partnership between Radiant Solutions, Rank One Computing and Secure Planet,” said Secure Planet CEO Bob Kocher. “We look forward to continuing to support the delivery of a cutting-edge biometrics technology that is a versatile combination of accuracy, affordability and efficiency on the AFIX Tracker FR platform.”

Secure Planet launched a real-time on-the-move facial recognition solution earlier this year.
