Javelin Strategy & Research honors Daon and OneSpan with Mobile Biometrics Platform awards
Daon and OneSpan announced they have each been named 2018 Mobile Biometrics Platform Awards Leaders by Javelin Strategy & Research. Doan has been recognized in the Functional category while OneSpan was named the ‘Best in Class’ provider. The awards are based on the 2018 Mobile Biometric Platform Scorecard report.
The 2018 Mobile Biometrics Platform Scorecard evaluated twelve mobile biometric authentication platform providers to assess the capabilities they offer in authenticating customers and the flexibility they provide in adapting to the practical needs of businesses. OneSpan was named a leader in all three scorecard categories: functional, innovative and tailored.
Until June OneSpan was known as VASCO. The company changed its name after adding intelligent adaptive authentication technology with the acquisition of DealFlo. It followed up the rebranding by launching its OneSpan Trusted Identity Platform and then partnered with Nok Nok Labs to provide banks and financial institutions with fraud mitigation capabilities for mobile or online applications compliant with FIDO standards, including FIDO UAF and FIDO2.
“OneSpan’s Mobile Security Suite gives banks a choice in the types of biometrics they enable, and the speed and ease with which they implement new security measures,” explains OneSpan CEO, Scott Clements. “This is backed by real-time risk scoring and adaptive authentication so that authentication requirements can exactly match the level of risk in a transaction.”
Daon had an eventful October, revealing a series of multi-factor biometric authentication deployments for its IdentityX platform that included a multi-year digital onboarding agreement with Capitec, facial recognition technology for Akbank, a three-minute digital leasing process for Innovation Finance and a partnership with Avtex.
Daon also recently announced that it was selected by the New Zealand Department of Internal Affairs for its digital onboarding app, RealMe Now.
“We are honored to be named a leader by such a prestigious organization as Javelin for its Mobile Biometrics Platform award,” said Tom Grissen, CEO, Daon. “This recognition is a testament to Daon’s proven performance in delivering uncompromising identity security and our mission to improve customer digital experiences for the world’s most iconic brands.”
