ARATEK fingerprint sensor featured in new BITEL POS terminal

BITEL recently launched a new point of sale terminal featuring an ARATEK fingerprint sensor. The new IC7200 terminal is designed to be implemented for mobile payment, retail and social welfare distribution in various countries.

“We are pleased to introduce the IC7200 featuring the ARATEK capacitive A400-M fingerprint sensor,” said Mark Chun, senior sales manager for BITEL.

Chun noted that ARATEK’s track record for quality and customer support as key considerations for the POS terminal manufacturer’s choice of partner. He also added that ARATEK’s FBI certification and its upcoming STQC certification will enable BITEL to aggressively push its product to a number of markets including India, Middle East and South East Asia.

According to the announcement, the FBI certification recognizes ARATEK’s compliance with the agency’s Personal Identity Verification (PIV) Image Quality Specifications Standard. The STQC is India’s quality assurance and conformity assessment body.

Chun added that BITEL “looks forward to expanding the business with ARATEK for the years to come.”
