BioConnect’s digital identity authentication technology has been integrated with ForgeRock’s Identity and Access Management platform to provide enterprise grade biometrics for secure privileged access, the companies announced at RSA Conference 2019.

By combining voice, face, and fingerprint biometrics on the user’s mobile device with a device token and a traditional knowledge factor, BioConnect ID secures critical business applications and remote access, according to the announcement. The service also provides prescriptive analytics through a cloud console to decrease risk.

“We believe identity is the new perimeter of security for the enterprise,” says BioConnect Founder and CEO Rob Douglas. “Our integration with ForgeRock helps bring a true biometric based trusted identity to a leading Identity and Access Management platform.”

“ForgeRock customers want authentication solutions that are more secure yet provide a great user experience,” adds ForgeRock Vice President, Global Strategy and Innovation Ben Goodman. “Solutions like BioConnect allow our customers to strike that balance by leveraging an array of biometric options orchestrated by ForgeRock’s Intelligent Authentication framework.”

The ForgeRock Identity Platform has also been updated, with an enhanced Intelligent Authentication framework to support customer security strategies like Zero Trust and CARTA (continuous adaptive risk and true assessment) that require continuous authentication. Gartner suggests that the number of new digital businesses adopting CARTA approaches will grow from less than 5 percent in 2017 to 25 percent by 2020.

ForgeRock will host an Identity Live Summit in Nashville, Tennessee on April 30 and May 1.

Since it launched the platform just over a year ago, ForgeRock has added more than 50 technology partners including AimBrain as the most recent many biometrics providers.
