CLEAR rolls out biometric boarding with Delta Air Lines at 26 US airports

CLEAR members traveling on Delta with a linked SkyMiles account can now confirm their identity and boarding pass information using fingerprint or iris recognition technology at the airport security checkpoint instead of an ID or boarding pass. The roll out of this patented biometric boarding solution is a first of its kind for domestic travelers in the United States.

“Taking friction out of the verification process saves our members time and represents an important step toward enhancing their entire curb-to-gate experience,” explained CLEAR President Ken Cornick. “CLEAR appreciates the support we’ve received from our partners at TSA, Delta Air Lines and airports across the country in making our latest innovation available to members.”

CLEAR’s biometric identity platform is certified as Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology by the Department of Homeland Security and complies with NIST standards and is available at 41 airports and venues in the United States including Madison Square Garden and Louis Armstrong airport.

In January the company announced a new round of financing to accelerate continued expansion into new verticals.
